The top 3 KPGA Genesis points will go directly to the DP World Tour

The top three genesis points of the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Korean Tour this year will have the opportunity to go directly to the DP World Tour (formerly known as the European Tour). Korean Tour and DP World Tour announced on the 2nd that they had signed a strategic business agreement with these contents.

Under this agreement, starting this year, the top player in the Korean Tour Genesis Points will receive the DP World Tour No. 16 category seed, and the other top two players will receive the No. 17 category seed. Athletes who hold the 16th category seed can compete in most competitions, except for Rolex Series competitions. The 17th category seed can play in slightly fewer competitions than the 16th seed.

Originally, the top Korean Tour Genesis points player could go directly to the DP World Tour until last year. With this agreement, the number of people eligible for the ‘DP World Tour direct ticket’ has increased to three.

The two organizations also agreed to give preferential treatment to the players with the highest Genesis points to go directly to the final game and the second game of Q School on the DP World Tour. This season, one player will go straight to the final game and three players will go straight to the second game. Next year, there will be 3 players in the final round and 6 players in the 2nd round. 메이저사이트
