Short track men’s national team member Park Ji-won won the 2022-2023 World Cup individual overall.

Park Ji-won won the gold medal with a record of 1:25:359 in the men’s 1000m second race final at the 2022-2023 International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Cup 6th event held in Dordrecht, the Netherlands on the 13th (Korean time). .

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the World Cup this season, the ISU awarded a special trophy, the Crystal Globe, to the men and women who ranked first in overall results from the 1st to 6th World Cup competitions. Park Ji-won was named as the first winner.

Park Ji-won will also challenge for multiple gold medals at the World Championships to be held in Seoul next month.

The overall championship in the women’s World Cup was won by Shizaner Swielting (Netherlands) who scored 1062 points. Gilly Kim placed 4th with 700 points.
