Batter Yohan Mieses (27) will step on the stage of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).

Japan Sports Hochi reported on the 15th that the Hanshin Tigers had signed a contract with Mieses, who played for Triple A (Worchester) of the Boston Red Sox. His estimated annual salary is $500,000 (650 million won), and his shirt number is 55. Mieses said through the club, “I sincerely thank you for giving me the opportunity to go to Japan again. Mieses, from the Dominican Republic, has no big league experience. But his minor league career is solid. His career (9 years) performance was 793 appearances, batting average of 0.243, 140 home runs and 427 RBIs. He hit .271 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs at Triple-A this season.

At the Tokyo Olympics held last year, he represented the Dominican Republic and helped win a bronze medal. He even pulled off a two-run home run against Oh Seung-hwan in the 8th inning that put a wedge in the game in the semifinal match against Korea.
