Korean striker Kim Shin-wook (34) continues a new challenge in Hong Kong.
On the 2nd (Korean time), Kitchee announced the recruitment of Kim Shin-wook through their official channel. His contract is for three years, until 2026메이저놀이터 , and he wears the number 33 shirt.
Kim Shin-wook terminated his contract with Singapore’s prestigious Lion City at the end of last season and found a new club as a free agent. Having contacted K-League clubs such as Jeju, Seoul, and Suwon, he took on a new challenge on the Hong Kong stage.
Kim Shin-wook, who is 197cm tall, went through Ulsan Hyundai and Jeonbuk Hyundai and experienced the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Champions League championship in 2012 and 2016 with both clubs.
He also won three league championships in the K-League, one League Cup championship, and was the top scorer in the 2015 season.
Afterwards, Kim Shin-wook moved to Shanghai Shenhua, where coach Choi Kang-hee was with him in 2019 when he was in Jeonbuk, and helped win the Chinese FA Cup.
After two and a half seasons in Shanghai, he moved to Lion City in 2022, where manager Kim Do-hoon took over. In Ryan City, he played an active part for one season and ranked 4th in league scoring with 21 goals and 5 assists in 26 league games.
Kim Shin-wook, who has now taken his first step on the Hong Kong stage, will play an active role together with Dejan Damianovich (41), who played together in the K-League stage in the past.
“Kim Shin-wook is a really tall and strong player, but he plays a variety of styles and is a player who can fit naturally with our forwards,” said coach Alex Chu Kitch. “His rich Champions League experience will help us. I believe he will score a lot of goals for us and be a role model for young players.”
