At the Masters Tournament held in Georgia, USA, Spain’s Yon Ram won a thrilling come-from-behind victory. Im Seong-jae and Kim Joo-hyung tied for 16th place.
Reporter Kim Young-seong reports.
When the remainder of the third round, which was delayed due to bad weather, ended, Lam was two strokes behind leader Brooks Koepka.
However, in the final round that immediately followed, Ram reversed the game early on.
He trailed by one stroke with a birdie on the 3rd hole, and Kepka committed a bogey on the 4th hole, making it a tie.
After Koepka bogeyed again on the 6th hole, Rahm birdied the 8th hole to take a two stroke lead.
While Koepka continued to lose strokes, Lam counter-punched on the 14th hole.
He hit the ball low under a tree and rode down the slope to get close to the hole. Ram lightly added a birdie here and practically split the game.
Ram, who recorded a final total of 12 under par, defeated Phil Mickelson and Koepka, who were tied for second place, by four strokes and became the protagonist of the green jacket.
After winning two majors and a total of 11 wins on the PGA Tour, Rahm regained the world No. 1 ranking.
In addition, he became a hero of the PGA Tour by preventing Koepka and Mickelson, who belonged to LIV Golf, which is led by Saudi capital, from winning. 메이저놀이터
