Championship? Champs?… ‘Derby complete defeat’ Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea ‘competition for mid-level’

Tottenham Hotspur is in danger of being driven into mid-table competition.

Tottenham Hotspur lost 0-2 in the North London Derby in the 20th round of the 2022/23 season Premier League against Arsenal held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 16th (Korean time).

Tottenham scored an own goal in the 14th minute when Hugo Lloris failed to properly handle the ball when Bukayo Saka crossed.

Then, in the 36th minute of the first half, opponent’s ace Martin Odegor allowed an additional goal with a fantastic mid-range shot and collapsed.

Until last season, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, who showed strong offensive power against Arsenal at home, failed to start the scoring gun, and the defense and midfield were also exposed several times throughout the game.

With this North London derby defeat, Tottenham suffered the humiliation of losing to Arsenal at home for the first time in nine years since the 2013/14 season. 메이저놀이터

In the league standings, it was ranked 5th with 33 points (10 wins, 3 draws, 6 losses), and failed to close the gap with Newcastle United and Manchester United, who are 3rd and 4th respectively according to the goal difference with 38 points.

Rather, Tottenham is more likely to compete with teams in the 6th to 10th place. Although 6th place Fulham has played one more game than Tottenham, it has been chasing down to the bottom with 31 points (9 wins, 4 draws, 7 losses).

With Brighton and Brentford, who have recently been on the rise, below Fulham, Liverpool and Chelsea, which have been in turmoil due to a major slump this season, are ranked 9th and 10th, respectively.

Tottenham has a 5-point difference between the 3rd and 4th places, but it also has a 5-point difference between the 9th and 10th places.

In particular, 9th-place Liverpool has played one less game than Tottenham and has 28 points (8 wins, 4 draws, 6 losses), and the goal difference is only one goal difference compared to Tottenham.

Chelsea and Liverpool currently have a lot of injuries in their squads, but there is always a chance that they will bounce back when they return.

Chelsea recruited Benoit Badiacil and Mihailo Mudrik in the winter transfer market, and Liverpool is also focusing on reinforcing their power by bringing in Cody Gakpo.

Tottenham is currently struggling with all the main players except for Rodrigo Bentancur.

Tottenham can’t be relieved in competition with Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as mid-to-higher dark horses.

Brighton is on the rise with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in the last 5 official games. Brentford is also threatening Tottenham by capturing Liverpool, Manchester United and West Ham this season.

To make matters worse, the next opponent will be on the 20th at 5:00 a.m. in an enemy area, so it is expected that it will be difficult to accumulate points for the time being, as it is an expedition to second-place Manchester City.
